P-Live
“P-Live’s versatility should earn him attention from the masses, making him a household name in no time.”- Hip-Hop Weekly
P-Live a.k.a. Isaiah Perkins was bred on the streets of Detroit. Every time P-Live stepped to the mic… they introduced him as P… coming to you live on stage… and so P-Live was born. It was out of the cipher, the grit and battlegrounds of Detroit’s streets, that P-Live found his hustle.
It was the crowd that got him hooked and it’s the crowd he hooks when he spits. It was P-Live they came to see. So he kept working and kept writing songs and soon he had an arsenal of diverse songs… an arsenal that wiped out most of his local competition at the Roc-A-Fella Records’- Rock The Mic Battle in early 2004. During Rock the Mic, P-Live found his rhythm with the crowd. When you listen to P-Live it’s like poetry… you just have to listen and just think. His style was so intimidating that when Roy Jones Freestyle Battle came to Detroit, it was cancelled after no one would step to him. The crowd erupted with all eyes on P-Live, when he took the stage. P-Live remarked, “It felt more like a showcase than a battle.”
P-Live was raised by a single mother and his grandmother. He remembers where he came from and that there is always a bigger picture, a picture involving his family as well as his crew, the Ghostryders. In early 2007, P-Live landed a record deal with hometown label Protekted Records which has distribution through Bungalo Records/ Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD). P-Live is thrilled to be of the Bungalo/ UMGD family and adds, “I now have a larger outfit to let people hear my music.”
His self-titled CD is set for release in late Spring 2009. The first single and video “Good 2 You” quickly amassed fans across the globe. The record was recorded in California and Detroit with The Chakfather "Chaka Blackman.” The video for “Good 2 You” was directed and shot by Dawud Gaston of Ooh La La Films. It was all filmed in and around Detroit.

The second single “Fresh 2 Def” will be available digitally on March 3, 2009. It was produced by the Chakfather. P-Live says, “When I heard that track I instantly thought about a fashion show… all that came to mind was fly gear that we rock in the D, things that I do, and all the plans that I have.”
P-Live’s debut CD is versatile. He hits the bullseye with songs like: “Get Low,” “Get Money,” "Reach On ‘Em" and "My Strength." The CD packs a profound punch. P-Live sums it up and says, “I have a Detroit mindset, a New York flow and a West coast vibe. I tried to touch as many varieties of music and people as I could.”
P-Live’s CD hits stores in early Spring 2009!
