A. I live in Fresno, CA
Q. WHAT GOT YOU STARTED IN DJ ING?
A. I always had a love for music. In grade school I always used to bring my record collection to the classroom parties
& play them on the school record player. Every body in the classroom danced & I really enjoyed watching them have a good time!
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Time passed on & I found myself doing the same thing in high school.
Well, this time things were slightly different. I was rockin’ house parties & all the school functions (on my own equipment of course!).
One other thing that got me started Dj ing, was radio. Yeah, I was bit by the radio bug around the age of 13.
I had an overnight weekend shift & assisted with production (doing commercials).
This led me into mixing live on the radio. I had my first mix show in "88" @ KMGX X-104 in Fresno.
Since then I have mixed @ every CHR Rhythmic or Urban station In Fresno.
KBOS B-95, Hot-96 FM, Power 102, KFSR 90.7, KSEQ Q-97, KKPW 94.3 "The Party" (when Greg Mack owned it).
Q. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE GENRE OF MUSIC, YOU LIKE TO PLAY?
A. Well, I don’t have one particular genre of music I like to play the most; I like all types of music.
But if you held a gun to my head & said "your favorite genre of music, or your life" I would have to say….
Old School Hip-Hop! You know, "Electric Kingdom", "Planet Rock", Rain Forest", cause that’s when I started mixin’ & scratchin’.

Q. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DJ ING?
A. I’ve been dj ing for 19 years.
Q. WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
A. Ummmm… some stuff I bought from Radio Shack!
Nawwww, Just kidding. I use only the best!! JBL, Rane, Denon, & Technics.

Q. IF THERE IS ONE THING, THAT MOST INFLUENCED YOU TO BECOME A DJ? WHAT WAS THAT?
A. The one thing that really influenced me the most was listening to DJ Patrick Valero, & DJ Dr. X (Malcolm Ghram)
Put it in the mix on KFSR every Sunday afternoon!
Q. WHERE ARE YOU CURRENTLY SPINNING, WHAT STATION (S) OR CLUB
A. I am currently spinning for Mix Matters on a few radio stations, KKPW, KSEQ & KDGS.
Q. WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER?
A. The Highlight of my career has happened several times over.
The one that means the most to me is when I turned this love of music into a fulltime business. It Happened in "91".
Since then I have moved forward with it and provided for my wife & 3 Kids!
Some people think DJ ing is a weekend hobby, but for me it’s a way of Life!!!!
Q. WHAT WORDS OF ADVICE WOULD YOU OFFER A YOUNGSTER THAT WANTS TO GET IN THE GAME?
A. Be yourself, learn to take criticism as a way of guidance, self-respect & self-discipline,
believe in yourself & others will believe in you.
Remember: what you put in is what you get out!
